
Getting Here
The three main Italy airports to look at when booking your travel are; Rome - Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino (FCO), Bologna - Guglielmo Marconi (BLQ) and Ancona - Falconara (AOI).
From Rome you will have approximately a 3 hour drive. The majority of the drive will be on the A24 which is a well maintained freeway. You will be taken thru the beautiful Sibilini mountain ranges. Car rentals at this airport are abundant. Ask if you can rent a Telepass for the toll system. GPS is essential. If you would like directions from Rome Airport click here.
From Bologna the drive is also about 3 hours. The airport is much smaller then Rome and easy to maneuver around. The majority of the drive is on the A14 will take you along the Adriatic. From Ancona you will have about a 45 minute drive. This is the smallest of the 3 airports and is a bit harder to find flights in to. The drive is mainly on the A14. There is a car rental. If you would like directions from Ancona Airport click here.
Perugia and Pescara Airports are another option when traveling from within Europe or the UK. Both are small airports with limited flights but are only about an hour from Casa Castagna.
