Explore Le Marche Region
Le Marche... A hidden gem.
A still somewhat undiscovered region of Italy, Le Marche will be sure to wow you! Spectacular beaches, stunning mountains, fabulous food, shopping, vineyards, and friendly locals make Le Marche a very special place.
The region lies on the Eastern coast of Italy between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine mountain range. It is bordered by Emilia-Romana and the republic of San Marino to the North, Tuscany to the North-West, Umbria to the West and Abruzzo to the South.
The Adriatic coastline is one of the most beautiful in Italy. It’s called the Italian Riviera for a reason. The beaches are easily accessible, beach clubs and restaurants plentiful. Some of our favorite are Senigallia, the Conero Coastline and in particular Portonovo Beach, Grottamare and San Bernadette del Tronto.
The Sibillini Mountains loom ever present and majestic. Hiking, picnicking and enjoying nature are a must. And if you enjoy walking of just stunning views, head to the Sibillini mountain towns of Sarnano, Amandola and Montefortino.
There are an abundance of historically significant towns to visit. There you can stroll the piazza’s, take in the museums and enjoy the local faire. Some that you will not want to miss are Urbino, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno. Closer to the house are Fermo, Monterubbiano and Torre di Palme.
